After I recently submitted my latest online marketing strategy to a client, I was asked, and I will quote, “That all looks fantastic, but where exactly will all this lead?” To say I was surprised  by this question is an understatement; after all, I thought that the reason they wanted a social media marketing campaign was a given.

It transpired that they had heard how everyone these days was building an online marketing campaign, but they didn’t know why, or more precisely why a social media strategy worked. So after some quick thinking, I said I would send them some statistics that would help answer this question:
